You could try to fix the measurement between two stars with a ruler, but where would you hold the measuring stick? Put the ruler close to your eye, and two stars may be a quarter-inch apart.

Dimmer and smaller than the Big Dipper, it would be harder to find, except that Polaris, which we’ve just located, is at the tip of its handle. Like its big brother, this asterism consists of seven stars. The Stars of Spring Let’s look at a few of the highlights of each season’s sky.
